"For many years, I have been in search of a therapist that specializes in ADHD, EMDR, and has the lived cultural experience and knowledge to understand me on a deeper level. I found a therapist that was culturally competent and had some experience with ADHD but did not have EMDR experience. She referred me to a colleague of hers that had experience using IEMT. During our first session, Yajaira and I were able to jump right into an IEMT session. It was different from EMDR and the experience left me feeling less affected by the trauma we concentrated on during the session. Not only was this amazing, I also felt immediately comforted by Yajaira's nurturing but firm approach to counseling.
